Short list semiautos for NY'ers? -- preparing for future

Quit voting in these BOZO'S who are using every method they can to disarm you. Just sayin'

Two of our locals had A ratings from the NRA and had always been on our side. At the last minute, both caved and voted for the law.

They're ALL bozos. So, who's left to vote for?

A guy I worked with moved to Vero Beach about 5 or so years back,he talked about it constantly on the job, buying a new house and all near the beach. The year he got there, his house took 2 direct hits from hurricanes within 2-3 weeks. Packed up and moved to Texas, inland.
Actually, it was 2004. Frances and Jeanne
In 2005 we had Katrina, Rita, and Wilma. We got them going both east and west down here.

Find a CS40 and you'd be good too.

I love my S&W's and the Chief Special Autoloaders 9mm, 40, and 45, they're right in line with NY law (breakers.... er law makers). However, don't discount the SIG SAUER P238 or P938 - they're true to the old Colt Pocket Lite and Colt Mustang. I own both and they're as reliable as can be. Both are 7 (380) round or 6 (9mm) capacity in a 1911 design.

any magazine over ten rounds has to be either sold out of state or destroyed or permanently modified to 7 rounds by April 15th 2014. You may keep ten rounders but you can only load them with 7 rounds as of April 15th, 2013. After that you cannot buy 10 rounders, only 7.

Absolutely correct - and absolutely ridiculous! I cringe every time I hear it.

Got a call from the RNC 2 days ago. We usually donate to them during the year. I told them to go pound salt. I said I won't donate to them because the Republicans threw us under the bus with their vote in NYS against the 2nd. I told the man that when the RNC straightens up I'll donate to them, until then any additional money will go to the NRA to support the A-rated Dems too. (this is in addition to my regulare donations to the NRA-PVF, NRA-ILA and GOAL)

You New York guys are just dreaming if you believe the round limitation will remain at 7. As soon as that idiot law goes into effect there are bound to be more insane mass shootings, or stabbings, or clubbings, or bombings... These radical politicians will never blame the people pulling the trigger. Always the gun,,,,

Your politicians will determine it happened because of the 7 round capacity so they'll make a new law and reduce the capacity to 3 rounds... then 2....then 1 .... then? It's all about control, folks! Just ask the people of Eastern Europe.

Quit voting in these BOZO'S who are using every method they can to disarm you. If you can't read the beginnings of a totalitarian system emerging in places like New York, Chicago and San Francisco you haven't been paying any attention....

Just sayin'

The problem with the "Just dont vote the Bozo's in", is In NY, CA and many other anti 2A areas of the country, the general population would vote for more gun control. In CA, 65 % of the state thinks there should be more gun control, and in the high 40% of freakin gun owners think there should be more. This in a state with some of the worst gun control laws on the books. You cant fix stupid at the ballot box, as we are way out numbered. CA's and NY's best hope is through the courts. BTW, Oregon is not all that far from being over run by antis. Dems in CA have a greater than 66.6% super majority in the state legislature. The sky is the limit with respect to more taxes, and more gun control.

In my opinion there is absolutely zero chance of this law being upheld in the courts. 7 rounds? What idiot politician came up with that arbitrary number? No manufacturer is going to start making 7 round magazines for 1 state's customers. It's just bad business. Hold off, let the law work through the courts. They may be able to limit it to 10 rounds, but the Supreme Court is not going to allow them to knock it down to 7.

RE: NY'ers--preparing for future:

Start sharpening your sticks. If you think it's going to stop with the current legislation you haven't been paying attention. Next will be ALL detachable-mag-fed, then all (semi) autos, etc. Until they encounter (and LOSE) serious constitutional challenges they will continue to grab more and more. ...And they have deep pockets and the will to fight those challenges, too.

And by the way, PA is relatively gun-friendly when you are outside of Philly, Harrisburg and Pittsburgh. An open-carry state and a "shall-issue" state. (For now.)

Also added: I have "several" guns. (Let's leave it at more than 1 and less than a thousand for conversation's sake) Only my M&P9c, Browning Hi-Power and Mini-thirty have standard capacities over 10rounds, but I am still fighting as best as I can against all this new legisltion. I've written my senators for the first time in my life. You should, too. If they read the papers or watch TV, and they might, they think they have a majority unless you tell them differently.

...and after 7 rounders don't solve the "problem" ie YOU owning a gun, they'll change it to three.

Guns with 5 or less are disallowed b/c the mag is then forward of the trigger. Clever little devils; they messed with everything. This ironically allows the baby pocket pistols and those with large caliber shells.

This rule CAN NOT stand.

I've got to add if we're expecting the lower courts and the Supreme Court to protect our Constitutional rights, we have only to look at the court's decision on the health care bill.

Everyone, including the Dems, were expecting a decision deeming it to be unconstitutional. Chief Justice Roberts, to everyone's shock, came up with one of the most bizarre and controversial opinions in American history to help make up a majority. The secretly constructed and unconstitutional health care bill, unwanted by the majority of the American people, is now law of the land.

I no longer have faith in the courts for the protection of our constitutional rights..... I expect we all have a major battle on our hands from now on and it will remain a political one.... locally in our individual states as well as nationally....

Its frightening that Commissar Cuomo was able to get this [insert expletive] law pushed through.

If you become a refugee from the state it empowers the antis by chasing votes away, if you stay they lock you up and you can't vote either.

Much as I think PA is probably safe from this stuff I am still tempted to talk my wife into moving to Texas or Florida... at least that way if the SHTF you know you're in a pro-gun state that won't surrender their guns so easily.
