The 25 rounders doesn't cut it in the prone position.

My 15-22 is sleeping right now, this is the best I can do.
Totally agree about the long mags, tough for bench shooting or prone.

Okay so I just called Smith and Wesson 3 times to ask when the short mags will be back in stock. I called 3 times to see if I could get the same answer 3 times 
all three customer service representatives told me they will be back in stock in about 3 weeks. Hopefully what they say is true

Hope so since I'd really like to ditch this pretend 25-10 magazine I got with something a bit more to my liking. Really do not know why they did not start with these first to ship with all of the rifles and make the 25-10 or 25-round magazines later? It would have ensured that the same model shipped to all states, except maybe wacky NY with the odd non-adjustable stock issue, and they could have sold the 25-rounders thru their website to those people who wanted those.
Just really odd how backwards the 15-22 started life IMHO.

I would like to have a 10 round mag. myyself. Maybe they will ship them to you guys that live where it's against the law to have 25 rounders first. Don

My 10rd mag supposedly shipped to Tenn on the 14th. Not sure why it would not be here by now.... but I'm keeping an eye out for any lost pigeons with postcards.

That looks SOOO nice! The only thing I could think to make it better would be to paint the orange followers, maybe a dark green, so it does not stand out so much. 'Course, I'd really prefer a fully enclosed magazine but I'll take what I can get.
Now hurry the heck up S&W so the rest of us can get some of these! ^_^
You would think that if he was an ex-resident of the PRK he'd know better than to ship something with one of those "evil" 25-round magazines that they banned here some time ago.
Either way I'm just glad these are starting to ship since I was beginning to wonder if these things really existed or not.KaiDoi

Got my 10 rd. too...
Got my short mag today 5/21/10 about 6 weeks since I ordered it, I think. Makes a nice compact package for anti-squirrel operations. Now I gotta decide on a low-power scope, decisions, decisions. Attached a few small pics to show the difference in profile, and side-by-side mags. Still have not shot it, very soon now...
