Shortage of .22 LR, Next best thing to CCI?

I have about 10,000 rounds of .22LR. Most of it CCI mini mag. Just bought the wife a Ruger SR22 because she now wants to go shooting with me. I chose the Ruger over the Smith because I we got 3 mags with it, for $60.00 less than the Smith with one mag. Took it out yesterday and put 400 rounds through it. Not one problem, everything from CCI mini mag. Winchester wildcat, thunderbolt, M22, Golden bullet. Surprisingly the M22 shot the best. Smith needs to get on board with the competition. Try to find a M&P22 spare mag. Our Ruger came with 3 mags for $329.00. And I am a diehard M&P shooter. Really liking this Ruger though.

I have both, the M&P .22 and a S&W 617 Revolver....love them both, but the 617 is a thing of beauty, a fine revolver a classic and I wouldn't trade it for anything. Revolver's never go out of style....they just get better with age....like a fine wine ;-)

Just an update, purchased 1400 rounds of golden bullet today, went to range and shot about 500 and only one FTE. That meets my expectations still hating the Winchester though! Bought 100 rounds of superX and every single one failed to eject. Junk!!

I don't know what they did to make the golden bullet "new & improved", but it must be something? Anyway, I've been trying to shoot up the last of a box of Winchester western we got when we bought my wife's PT-22. My SR22 won't hardly shoot an entire magazine without a failure to cycle completely. Today I was shooting the PT-22 with it and every other round was a failure feed, fire, or something. I went to the ammo cabinet and loaded up two magazines of golden bullets and had a successful bang-eject-feed-bang until both magazines were empty. Both of these pistols are basically reliable with everything (Automatch, Blazer, Champion and of course all CCI) except Winchester. Guess I'll have to shoot the rest of the western through my bolt-action rifle...

Federal bulk, mini mags, Blazer, Fiocchi, and Aguila SuperExtra High Velocity work well for me. I stay away from Remington and Winchester except theM22 Winchester which worked well for me. The Winchester (white) bulk fires well through my 15-22, but not through anything else. I've also experienced issues with American Eagle.

The customer service person I talked to told me they had so much trouble with duds, they went to a new supplier for primed cases. Over a year ago, they sent me a mailing label and I sent them six bulk packs of bad ones. Two weeks later, I had twelve bulk packs delivered to me from them. Not one dud.

Yeah with no limit (which i think was a glitch) I'm sure it wouldn't last long... I don't usually post **** but I saw CCI in stock and got happy
