I have for your consideration a Smith& Wesson 1917.

It has the "US Army" stamp on the butt, which would make it 1917 or more likely, 1918 production. Frame and cylinder SN#'s match. Speculatively, in the 1950's or 60's it received some custom work. The bbl. Was shortened to 3.5", and it got adjustable sights, blueing, and probably an action job, because it is remarkably smooth and in good time. The grips are clearly reproduction, as is the lanyard ring. The folks who know over in the other forum mentioned the front sight appears to be a Redfield Sourdough from the 50's-early 60's. I'd be willing to let this one go for $875 shipping included from my Alaska FFL to yours.

REDUCED $20 DAILY UNTIL SOLD

08/18/23- $855
08/19/23- $835
08/20/23- $815
08/21/23- $795

I would be willing to consider trades that involve a 10 shot 617. Maybe a S&W 929. I can give or take some cash or trade fodder to make things fair.

The first "I'll take it" posted here...well...takes it. Feel free to ask all the questions you'd like though, and I will answer them as quickly and thoroughly as possible.

The pics posted are just kind of glamour shots. I can send plenty of detail pics upon request.

Certified check or money order only.

Thanks for taking a look!

Edited for clarity. Wurdz is hard.
Edited to reflect price reduction
