Was at the range breaking in my new (to me) M&P40FS and C pistols when another shooter and I got talking. He had just purchased a 15-22, scope and fore grip and was sighting it in at 50 yards. After cordial chitchat we each offered to the other to shoot what we brought. He finished my 15 round mag in the full size and I finished the 25 round mag in his 15-22. I was impressed! I can see why these are so popular now. I've been quietly hunting for a buckmark rifle but now my list has changed. :) The setup I shot today was, he said, all in for @ $550. I can do that. Oh, and with the levers on the 15-22 mag, the loading was fast and slick, unlike every other .22 rifle mag (Marlin/Ruger) I've ever had to load!

Definitely a fun, accurate, and reliable rifle. You won't regret getting your own.

Don't think about it, do it! Lol. You won't regret buying the rifle but make sure you also pick up a half dozen mags at same time!!!! :D

Everyone that has fired mine has wanted one for themselves. It's a fun firearm.

One of my most fun to fire rifles. The only downside is that you will quickly use up any .22 ammo you can find.

I liked my first one so much I bought another one about a week later.

Wait till you have one with a sparrow suppressor! That is my favorite combo.

I've shot the heck out of it, friends and strangers at the range have shot it, everybody that has shot it has loved it and started to look in to getting one. I have yet to have had any issues with it. I guess the only negative thing is that 22 lr is pretty hard to get a hold of :(

Gee thanks, now I have more Smith and Wesson products to buy.;)

I was already looking at the M&P 15 for a good, reasonable priced AR and now, it looks like I may be buying an M&P15-22. I sold my old Ruger 10/22 target rifle because I was tired of lugging the heavy beast around (it had the factory target barrel which was heavier than the entire base model 10/22) and opted for a Henry Arms AR-7. It's feather light and stores in it's own stock but, the factory sighs are crappy and you would need an adapter to install an optic on the top rail (which would have to be removed before storing it).

I considered a 10/22 take down but there again, I'd have the same issues when stripping it down to clean it as I had with the target rifle and the 25 round mags are still time consuming to load. The 15-22 25 round magazines are cheaper than the BX-25's too.

Get one! You won't be disappointed! Out to 65 yards with the scope set-up I have it's more than accurate enough to dispatch my local rabbit population. With a moderator & bipod it's a lethal varmint combination that's easy to clean and look after too - plus it's a lot lighter than my old Finfire to carry around!

I paid £750 for my FDE MOE in the UK - think that's around $1200 - and that's before the inevitable customisation ensues! At the price you have them in the US, don't even hesitate - I can't think that I'll ever think about selling it!

VERY fun rifle!
