Not a S&W question but a shotgun question. I have a mint condition Winchester Ranger Model 140, 20ga with winchoke and ventilated rib. Stamped Winchester Proof Steel. It is in a hard case and has never been fired. Can anyone tell me what it might be worth? I am interested in buying or trading for a M&P 380 Bodyguard.

I'm sure somebody here will have the information you need. Not describing it as a "shotty" (shudder!) will facilitate the process. :D:D

The Ranger 140 is the economy version of the 1400. They were never very popular and do not command a great deal of money. My guess is that a dealer will offer you $150.

If you are lucky.

I bought a LNIB but no box 12 gauge 1200 deluxe rib and all for $135 not to long ago. It is the Pump version which is a little more desirable.

It may be best to run the online auction sales to get the current SOLD for price. A FTF would probably get you a better deal than a trade but then you are not talking much difference.

FYI, I'm not knocking Win 140/1400 auto they just are not popular. I want one via a super buy in 16 gauge.
