It would hurt if bushy or another AR company came out with a better 22lr AR

Going to be difficult for another company to top the 15-22, but anything is possible. The Sig 522 is good competition.

Already a ton of options that you can put on the 15-22, and no doubt more to come. Many OE parts on the 15-22 are mil-spec.

Whatever new product that is announced at the shot show seems to take at least 6 to 9 months to hit store shelves. You could be shooting the 15-22 for several months before something else available.

Grab it now. If nothing else you can sell it later if necessary, there doesn't seem to be any shortage of folks wanting them.

jump friend jump.... tell the wife it was on sale.. thats usally her response to me and its supposed to be ok lol

It's kind of funny. My goal was to get a Kel-Tec SU-22, but after holding a 15-22, I was in love.

If you want it, just buy it. It something better comes out later on, buy that too. ;)

Bushmaster already has one.

What is "better"? If you mean better accuracy and reliability, then most all .22LR rifles built by any manufacturer will be "better" than the 15-22. But... few have the "Tacticool' of the 15-22.

thats right bushy did make the c15 22lr. But 15-22 seems best bang for buck

'Best Bang" is subjective. But I'm a subjective kinda guy.... I got a 15-22 and never considered a Bushy. Though, the SR-22 is probably the most competent of the AR style in .22LR... but who cares.... the 15-22 is tacticool'!

The sr 22 is not as AR-ish as the mp15-22. I am not a fan of their forearm and added flat top deal.

At under 500.00 I would call that a light trigger .....go ahead and pull it ......demand is good and won't taper off that much no matter what and it is a fun shooting 22 and will hold its value well....

Right. It's not about how well the rifle works, it's about style. The 15-22 is really stylish.

sounds more of an insult to the mp15-22. O well, if i want a well working rifle, I'll just go shoot my Colt AR15 6920.;)

It's not meant as an insult. The 15-22 has it's strong and weak points like anything else. Style of the 15-22 is it's strong point. Accuracy and reliability are it's weak points. Wouldn't you agree?

True True...

I just read that FN will be putting out the SCAR in .22. I read it on another forum. I doubt they can compete with S&W'S price.

I wouldn't agree. Mine was a nice birthday present two weeks ago. Took it out and shot 100 rounds through it with no malfunctions or issues. Sighted it at 50 yards and it fires a 5-shot group prone into 1-1/4" all the time. Plain ole American Eagle 40 grain RNL.

Accuracy could be a bit better but this was using iron sights at 35 yards free standing with the gun. Not too shabby for 120 rounds on this target :)

Now, if it's accuracy your after then this one will more likely get the job done.
