Should I trade my 29-2?

Not being a collector or in this stuff for investment, I would say it was an OK trade. It is a real good trade if you were looking for one.
Blessings

You really need to provide more information on the guns.

But offhand, I would think that I would be very reluctant to trade away a model 29 for a Sig.

Just saying.

I'd keep the classic, there will be no more of them and like others have said, the future value will probably be better

Two very different guns for two different uses. I have a Sig Stainless Carry and I really use it to carry. I can't see me carrying my 29 to anyplace other than the range. My 29-2 is a wonderful revolver but, if I really needed another CCW I would trade it. It is just a tool.

Count me in the "no" group. Finally quit trading, swapping and selling and have not regretted it one bit.

dont trade !

If you want a Sig, pay cash for it, you can make more money, but you cant make another 29-2.

Tomorrow someone at Sig will assemble another scorpion to be shipped out the door.

There are no more 29-2's going out the door from S&W.

If I get rid of mine it's only for cash or trade for another older S&W, that I think I must have.

I cant think of a new/current production pistol that I would trade mine for. If I had to have a new production handgun, I would just save the cash. Then in a year or so walk into a gun store and order it new.

Too many variables to consider and not enough information on the 29-2. If you want to get rid of the .44 magnum I would sell it outright, then pay cash for the Sig. Post pictures in the "Guns For Sale" section and watch people flock to it. I recently sold a 4" 29-2 only because I acquired another one that was in better condition. There are plenty of good 1911's being manufactured these days and no 29-2's being made.

the outright replacement cost for something like your 29-2 is guna be something around $1000 mind u this is NO 29-2 and its a modern made one and are hard to get right now with the gun panic.. personly i would not trade it, sell it sure but trade no unless its in very very bad shape.

thing to look at is if u ever wanted to have another 29 would u be able to trade the sig for one if the answer is no then dont do it and save up for the sig or some sort of 1911 and in the mean time do reserch on the 1911 and the 45 ACP for defense and get ur hands on a few other kinds of 1911's as well u may find u like something else better that is ezier to get a costs a bit less.

my opinion anyhow

Not in this lifetime. You can always get another Sig.
