Should my 19-2 diamonds be numbered?

I've recently purchased a M19-2 #K591xx round butt with diamond grips. These grips are not numbered.
Does this mean the grips are not original to the gun?

I generally think of un-numbered Magnas as replacement stock, but there always seems to be exceptions with S&W. How do they fit?

Only the right stock was numbered.

OK, thanks guys.
These grips appear to fit quite well. But then, I have moved non-stock grips around on other revolvers and they always seem to fit rather well. S&W quality at work no doubt!
The pictures hopefully will add a visual to my question.

Thanks in advance for evryone's help, and have a great Holiday.

Cut or not, I would be a sucker if I found it with the diamond grips and the gold dot front sight!
Peter.

Please, more info on your GREAT looking 19, 3inch? cut down 4 inch ??????? Thank you.

No, it's not a cut down 4 inch because it does have a round butt, and if you notice, the roll stamping is centered on the barrel. It could be a 2 1/2" changed out, but the blueing is quite consistent. I do plan on having this gun lettered one day when Roy begins accepting new requests.
I do think the sight has been changed because the second pin is slightly off-center on one side.
But why aren't the grips numbered?
