Should we be scared? Of what? The future, once we see it slipping from our grasp? Or maybe scared of today's younger generation who a lot of us see as being just as stupid as we were when we were their age?

Some people need to understand that a lot of young people today look at us with the same jaundiced eye we use to look at them. And it's easy to see why. No one, young or old likes to be called dumb and stupid. No one likes to be looked down on by an older generation who made the world the way it is today.

Time to stop beating up on the kids. You demean yourself as well as the kids. Give it a rest why don't you.

They got easy liberal arts degrees and can't find a job in that field. These are the ones drowning in student debt and crying about it.

What leads you to believe obtaining a liberal arts degree is "easy"?

Between the high rate of illegitimacy and the high divorce rate we have the first generation/age group for whom fatherless is the norm. Too many parents use the schools as a daycare center-as one teacher put it, "Children should be sent to school to educated, not raised." And elders- parents, grandparents- often set a poor example.
