Shoulder holsters. Help.

Shoulder rigs aren't for everybody, with that being said, I love mine in the months I can hide them.

I don't understand why one of the complaints about a shoulder holster is that you need to wear a cover garment. I guess I'm stupid and don't know how to conceal but I also have to wear a cover garment when carrying on my belt. Larry

On the belt most of the time you can untuck a shirt and be covered, especially in the waist band. With a shoulder holster you need a shirt, and then something over the shirt, like a jacket.

When concealing with a shoulder holster, OWB or Mexican I wear a tee shirt and a button up shirt is the cover garment. In NC it is not illegal if the gun "prints". Larry

This has been mentioned before...... I wear IWB 95% of the time and always have a t-shirt ( sometimes a wife beater in hot weather) between me and my holster/gun.....and a cover garment.(My lightest are a Hawaiian or fishing style shirt.)

Do folks really carry with their holster/gun against bare skin???

Back in 1970s i carried a 2" Model 64 in a Bianchi X15. Still have the 64 but not the X15! Whenever I go to a gun show always on lookout for a good used one. I believe new ones to for over $150. Always wore a jacket or sport coat and completely concealed.

I do, lots of times. With a good gun, like a 1903 Colt, its no problem at all.

Only shoulder holster I have now is one from Bianchi. it is inverted, made of suede, and is for my 2 1/2" model 19.. Nice set up, can be worn under "hoodies" and is still easy to access since it is inverted.

I have a plethora of them in storage. Back in "the day" my Bianchi X-15 was often used with a 1911 or 4" Smith and Wesson. Over the years and with my move south the need to carry in a suit or sports coat went away and the holsters are now piled in the storage crates of "Stuff". I have leather and nylon depending on the need. During a period of aviation duty the weapon was carried in a nylon shoulder rig over the flight suit but under the survival vest.

Now days a "J" frame in the pocket keeps me happy.

Groo here
Look at Wyoming Traders [there are others]
The Texas vest is what I use.
Put over a T-shirt and good to go...
