Bruce, those dog-eared holsters are awesome. That is another style holster that I have yet to acquire. Hopefully one day. Looks like Doc did a great job on the welt repair.

Thanks for the sheath pictures, John. It's kinda funny that you posted one in this thread. In my description of what I was hoping to see in my first post, I did ask for knife sheaths. But in all actuality, I did the first post for the Heiser stuff, then copy and pasted for the other 2 manufacturers, not realizing Myres or Lawrence even made knife sheaths. BTW, did you get a knife with the sheath? Thanks for sharing.

My favorite holster pattern is the "Texas Jockstrap". I have 4 of them. My fourth one was different from the others. All the rest are floral carved, this one is plain.

For a time, I had had my eye out for "snubby" holsters. They seem to be more difficult to find in good condition. Probably because many of these holsters were actually used, and used hard, while the ones for the larger guns might not be used as much. When I spotted this one, I hoped to win it, and luckily did. It is a Myres Model 777. The holster is a leather lined SD Myres jockstrap holster made for a Colt Detective Special and it looks almost new.

Here's a carved Three Persons I acquired from CrazyPhil's Humongous Holster Lollapalooza earlier this summer:





Interestingly, it is a perfect fit for my 4" mid 60s M10, but just a tad too short for my 4" M65. (With the M65, the trigger guard does not quite touch the lip of the holster opening. Measuring both barrels, the M65 is indeed a tiny bit longer.)

I got this beautiful holster for a very modest price. This was not only was CrazyPhil's usual generosity, he discounted the holster even further, he explained in his ad, because it was damaged and he had repaired it:



One helluva good repair job! At first I did not even notice the repair. I'd forgotten about it and it is barely noticeable. I think I noticed it by touch, not visually initially. Looking at it closely and touching it, the repair reminds me of repairs I have done on a leather Chesterfield sofa using a flexible filler, sandpaper, and dye from a leather repair kit.)

Likely I give out this kind of useful info to auction sellers a half dozen times a week. Both the surviving 'palm tree logo' Seventrees were identified this way.

I have a Meyers cartridge belt for 45 colt. It is full of 45 colt cartridges. I will try to find it and post a pic. It is from the 40's. I do know that it is nothing that fits me.
