This is Kobi. He is a 1 ½ year old Carolina dog, also known as the American Dingo.
He runs, jumps, and looks like a small deer. He loves to play tug-of-war and tear his stuffed animals apart …leaving the house looking like it is covered in clouds….my wife loves that (ha-ha). Kobi needs love all the time, just ask him. All you have to do is make eye contact with him and he'll leap 4 feet across the room into your lap. He only weighs 23 lbs (our cat weighs more) but when he hits your lap, he feels like 50 lbs. He is a good fit at our house. He is a rescue dog from Virginia….where they have "high kill" shelters (you know, keep them only 72 hrs & then put them down). We are so lucky to have found him…..he's now part of the family. I still can't understand why someone wouldn't have wanted him.
Our vet fell in love with him…..he said he's a true dog. He said Carolina dogs are the true dogs of the wild….they were born just to be dogs. We feel Kobi is just another four-letter word for LOVE.
I'm gonna have to dognap this guy one day. It's a buddy's Mini Aussie Shepherd, Rip, and his big stick. He was proud of that thing!
The third pic was Grandpa Frank's pup, your guess on the breed(s) is as good as mine. Grandpa left us in August and Bear is a great way to remember him.
Last but not least is my nephew's Long-haired Dachsund of my namesake. Great kid! He also has a Guinea Pig named Bob, after my brother.
Awesome pics and keep'em coming Hey we had a cockatoo too, what a manic only liked me and harrased kids and wife BUT we found him happiness at the cockatoo half way house and I still visit him.......his name is Bam Bam and these guys live 30 years and more
