Show us your cat - the crazier the better

This is Miss Kitty who came to us via the telephone company garage when the boss there said the guys could no longer keep her there. She had wandered in as a stray and my son brought her to us.Runs the household!

Spook and Lucy

We lost Spook (blue) a while back. He was laid back until something in the household was out of sorts.
He jumped in the middle of squabble between our Lab and Aussie x Lab. Needless to say, he put an end to that nonsense.

Lucy (black & white) is a lover cat. She was bottle raised a her mom died the day after she was born.

My little girl Sophie. Purebred Himalayan. Show-quality cat, she became a pet instead because her little tail was broken at the end when she was a kitten so she could no longer be entered in competitions and shows because she'd never win. I adopted her a year ago from her family, they just didn't want her any more. She's such a sweetheart. Super-clean, always grooming herself. Follows me around like a little dog. Sleeps on my lap. Rubs her little head up against me when she wants something. I love her to death. Picture in the lower right was taken just a week ago after her summer fur-cut. Which she needed!

Cats

These two very graciously allow us to share their quarters with them. They have done very well for a pair of abandoned 2 year old sisters.

Thought I'd share a few of the cat that appears to be living (or at least hanging out a lot) in our backyard. He's considering adopting us it seems and is sticking around more and more and has become quite friendly! (seems healthy and well cared for so we think he has a family but we'll see what happens.) ;)

For now we call him Garfield and give him visiting privileges. We'll see what happens....:)

This is my buddy, Pendleton. He is a Russian Blue. I adopted him from the local animal shelter. He had been mistreated before he came to the shelter, so I've been working with him for the last couple of years and he's become quite social and is very much my cat (or, in the words of Mister Peabody, I'm his boy). He was around 20lbs and he's on a weight plan to get him down to 14lbs. He's at ~17lbs presently.

Pendleton enjoys sitting at the window and cussing at the birds in the garden. He holds long conversations (in Meowese) with me daily about Important Things, gets along with my girlfriend's dog, and he loves his brush more than anything except food (fishy flavor only, no substitutes!).

It's amazing what a little kindness and friendliness can do to bring out the best in a cat.

This is Mayhem guarding his patch of 'nip.

Interesting acquisition, Mayhem. Luscious and I were considering adopting another rescue cat. I made a recon trip to the shelter one day and there was a lady at the door with a small box under her arm. "Mister" she said: "You need a kitten?"

"Well, yes. Yes, I do." She had found him down by her barn and was bringing him in. Apparently we were meant to be his!
