Roaddog28-love those Ruger Police Service Sixes. Basically, a very tough gun. Setup similar to a Smith (where hand is, cylinder rotation). Had a couple of adj. sight Rugers but got rid of them to fund Smiths. Found out I had no .357 Ruger. Damn!! Had to fix that. Don't think I will ever need a BUG OUT gun but this and a Marlin .357 would do nicely. :

Don't know why Ruger did away with the Security/Service Six line but they are very serviceable guns. The newer GP100 guns are very solid and rugged (maybe a little over-engineered) but I've always had a Security or Service Six in the stable because they are solid, reliable firearms. Ruger could have coated them in camo for the outdoors group, pink for the gals and touted them as being more "green" than semiautos . Can reload the brass multiple times to minimize the "carbon footprint"! Also more retro than the IL stuff and tupperware guns of today. Ruger could start a "back to basics" movement. Just a thought. By the way, if I could find a RB Ruger Service Six snubbie, I'd snap it up in heartbeat. I can find S&W snubbies by the score but not Service or Security Six snubbies!
