Perhaps some of you can help with my Sig 229 Elite that has some very tired night sights that need to bee relamped are marked MH3 AF on the right side of the sight and have the numeral 8 on the rear sight.

I called Sig and they said based on my serial number date of manufacture was 2006 and that they used Trijicon sights then.

A call to Trijicon and they day that number doesn't line up with any of their product line and it is probably a Meprolight sight.

I called Meprolight and they say it doesn't line up with any of their product line either, nor does it line up with the Siglite, Dawson or Heine product numbers.

I give ....can anyone properly identify these sights so that I can send them in and have them relamped?

Thanks to all!!

Randy

I put some Meprolights in a Sig P228 Swiss gun I bought but it had Trijicons in it, and my p229 has some Siglites.

The simplest thing for you to do would be to have them swap in some Mepros which I do like a lot better than the trijicons. My 229 has the same sights yours does. I would just replace them with some better Mepros but the MH3 code is a Siglite Sig site I believe. My 229 SAS has the same code on the sides of them.

I like the Mepros green, yellow and orange sites, I run a yellow and green setup on my P228. Hopes this helps. I am on a tablet.

There's a guy name Mike goes by (Clubster on SIGForum), I sent him my slide and he replaced mine for me. I thought I had saved his number but can't find it. Don't remember the exact price but it was maybe $20 cheaper but I'm the original owner so all I needed was sights and not necessarily an inspection. I can try to get an email if you want a quote.
