Anyone out there have much experience with Sig's DAK trigger system. I'm a S&W revolver shooter and their is nothing close to a revolvers trigger. How does the DAK trigger compare to a revolver trigger? Any thoughts, concerned, or opinions on it?

I had a P239 SAS DAK in .40
While the DA pull is somewhat lighter than many S&W Revolvers, it is quite long, some would say very long, although smooth. It resets to a shorter pull when firing from a cocked hammer (second shots or hammer not dropped after loading). Some experience is needed to let the trigger go forward to the reset position without letting it go all of the way forward in order to take advantage of this reset feature.
I usually carry an M640 and I like its DA trigger pull much better than the DAK.
I do not have a S&W DA only semi-auto pistol so don't know about those.
If you have convinced yourself that your pistol must be DA only the DAK is certainly an option to consider.

I never warmed to the P239 and its DAK trigger. I sold it and bought a 3913, I am quite happy with the S&W DA/SA.

I had a 229 DAK. oldRoger explains the system well enough. I'll say it's nothing like a revolver trigger, but semis compared to revolvers are apples and oranges in my opinion. I did like it, however, and if I were to get another DAO SIG, I wouldn't mind another DAK. Once you get used to the reset, it's a very nice smooth trigger.

Thanks for the info guys. I have glocks, m&p, and Sig's sa/da. I just can't shoot near as well with any of them like I can with my revolver. I'm trying to find a semi auto with a trigger like a revolver. Thanks for the info and advice.

Got my sig back today. I really like the feel of the trigger while dry firing it. Can't wait to try it out at the range.

The best DAO trigger on a semi I've found so far is on a Sig P250, it is a long smooth pull that breaks very clean at about 6.5 -7.5 lbs that lightens up with use.

Took my P220 with the new DAK trigger to the range. I love the trigger. I'm grouping much tighter with this trigger. Still not like I do with my 686, but I really like it.

I've got the Sig 226 DAK in 9mm and while it is not as smooth as my S&W revolvers, it's nice to have a high capacity semi with the effective same "manual of arms". Having carried revolvers for duty for many years I like having a semi that I can react with in much the same way. I also like being able to stage the trigger for accuracy shots.

I will qualify, that years of using the 1911, keep it at my side more often than not.

I second T.C.'s opinion on the P250. The trigger reach is long, but for anyone used to a DA revolver it's a natural feel. It stacks a little, so if you are doing slow fire you can stage the trigger. Breaks pretty clean too, for an auto. Mine's a .45, and it's my night stand gun. I picked it up lightly used for 350 out the door at my LGS. Couldn't beat the price.
