Ordered a sig p 229 police trade in from Aim surplus a week ago, picked it up at the FFL yesterday, been wanting to get one for awhile and aim had them for $299. plus shipping thought I'd pull the trigger, they are chambered in 40, I don't shoot a lot of 40 but for the price though I'd try one. Took it out and ran 150 rounds through it shoots real good, da sa trigger takes some getting used to does anyone know what agency these sigs came from

You got yourself an awesome deal on a great defensive handgun. I duty carried one of those for 20 years. Very reliable and accurate. I had to turn mine back in for rotation back to the armory when I retired. Now, I own a M11-A1, which is basically nothing more than a special edition of the 229 in 9mm. Enjoy.

Im about to buy a Police trade in Sig.... LOVE the older design... not a fan of New Plastic although I own a glock.

Nice! I think a lot of folks are taking the current deals on .40s for granted. Over the last couple of years I've picked up a P229, P229, H&K USP, and H&K USP Compact, altogether for around $1200.

That's a lot of nice guns for the money!

I highly recommend the Underwood 135gr JHP. They chrono'd right around 1400 fps from my USP, and, as I recall, they lost around 100fps from the shorter USPc.
