since I havent found "MY" 4513 TSW yet....I took a slight detour on the never ending .45ACP journey.....this one came available for a price I could not pass up with 6 factory mags......all for the price of a m457.....don't get me wrong...I would love to have a 457....but for the same money it was a no brainer;) ....I do give up one round to the 457/4513...... after I seen fyimo's p228 ccw I had to find some similar sig stocks....nice bling dont ya think ....and first time out with some 230gr. ball it's plenty accurate....some how the sights work better for me than the goal post style rears :D

That looks fine

I currently own five Sig P series pistols, always wante a P245 but nice ones do not show up for sale locally very often.

I predict you are going to love that 245

My carry .45 history........ took me from a Colt Commander to a Sig 220....

but I got an early 4516 which was nice but felt like a brick...... traded it for "something else" and a few years later got a nice used 6round tactical 4513........ great gun but couldn't find any extra magazines (only had 3/ pre internet stuff was hard to find).......traded it on my first Sig 245.... and the rest is history.

Reliable and as accurate as a full size 220...... mine sports Hogue wood grips..... and I have 8rd magazines with X-grips as back up....so 6+1+(8x2)=23.....carried in a Sparks Summer Special or a old Miami Vice/Jackass shoulder holster; which is great for winter carry under a coat/jacket. Easy access ...just zip half way down.

While I generally carry a 3913/14 ..... when I want a .45 in the winter .....my go to is a Sig 245.

Bam-Bam....sounds like we are similar paths...I cc a 3913NL also but always wanted a cc .45....just because....my 4516-2 is a tad heavy...same with the 4506-1...the P-220 I have is full size but does sport an alloy frame....but just felt not right to carry for me....AIWB cross draw works best for me so the 3913 and the p245 will hunt....now if I could just get that P239 with the sig nickel slide out of my mind I seen at the gun show last week:D

not around here either until I got this one then two showed up right after......this one came from Montana;)

I only have 4 "P" series, my first was a 220 with a home made half bobbed hammer. Then an unmodified P220, about a month later a 245 turns up at a ridiculously low price showed up. It must have been a LE trade in with a bunch of highly worn 220's. the 245 looker barely fired and never carried. It came with 3 mags and I have 10 or 12 220 mags. My other "P" is a "Compact" 357 Sig, but I forget if it is a 226 or a 229. It was defiantly a LE trade in. The tritium sights have absolutely no glow and the agency put crimson trace grips on it. With Winchester "Ranger" LE ammo it shoots better than I can brag. Around here the nice wood grips cost more than you can find worn 9mm Sigs for. As the weather is starting to cool off, it is time for the 45's to come out and get some fresh air! Ivan

Funny thing when the 245 first came out .....IIRC.... they sold poorly and were discontinued after a couple of years........ fast forward about 10 years and everyone wanted one....LOL So Sig came out with the 220 compact

I think the 245 has the old style folded slide while the 220 compact is milled stainless..... could be wrong on that.

you are correct sir.......makes it nice that the p220c mags are the same as the original p245 mags:D......I can't explain how EZ this .45 is to shoot...but you already know that;).........I plan on sending the slide to CCR for their nickel/ boron nitride coating....looks like a matte finish stainless steel.......just because I want a two tone:D

My "carry" has a factory nickle slide and factory nightsights and stippled grips..........

....... my back-up has a short trigger, factory nitron (?) finish, Hogue checkered grips (light blonde) and and factory "big dot" nightsights.

The Compacts shoot just as well as a full size 220.......

Check out their X-grip that allows you to use an 8round magazine with a full 220 size grip.....kind of funky looking but gives you a extra 2 rounds in the second mag.

I've had a long love affair with Sig pistols, and especially the P245/P220 Compact series.
Within the past two months, I have bought two P245 pistols.

First was a Sig P245 Two-tone, which was LNIB. I promptly cured that, with a couple of heavy-duty range sessions. This thing was super accurate with an excellent trigger.

Next up was a custom P245, which has the following:
Custom TJ's trigger (thinner and smoother contours)
Internals polished and Cerakoted
Bobbed hammer
Graphite Black Cerakote
shortened mag base plate
Trijicon HD night sights
Short Reset trigger installed

This thing is a SHOOTER as well, and is my defensive carry gun.

I've also owned the P220 Compact, which has a slide milled from a single bar stock of stainless steel, and is heavier than the folded and stamped slide of the P245.
The advantage (IMO) of the P220 is the external extractor vs the breech block system of the P245.

Congrats on the 245 nocents!! A very fine 45 carry gun.

If my 4513TSW didn't exist, I'd own a Sig 245. Enjoy yours! Regards 18DAI

Nice one. :)

My P220 Compact is a SAO with the Elite frame and aluminum factory stocks. I like it a good deal, and find it to be accurate and pleasant to shoot and carry.
