I've shot close to 500 rounds through it and the only ammo it doesn't like is Remington Subsonic hollowpoint. My 1522P doesn't function with it either. So far, the Sig has digested with no problem: CCI Mini Mag(RN and HP), Federal bulk 36 grain hollowpoint, CCI Standard Velocity, Federal Gold Medal Match, Fiocchi Super Match, Lapua Midas M, CCI Velocitor, Norma Tac22.
Took the P322, M&P1522p, and my Browning T-Bolt to the range today. No one else out there , so had the range all to myself. Set up the chronograph to see what different ammo was shooting in different length barrels.
All the velocities are 10 shot average
Sig P322, 4 inch barrel:
CCI 40 grain round nose.............952fps
CCI Velocitor..............................1050 fps
Remington Subsonic 38 grain HP.....650fps(would not cycle the pistol)
S&W M&P 1522P, 8 Inch barrel:
Federal 36 grain hp bulk............1165 fps
CCI Mini Mag 40 grain rn...........1080 fps
Remington SubSonic 38 grain hp...740(would not cycle)
CCI Velocitor................1199 fps.
The clouds drifted in and cut my chronograph session short, but I got a good idea of what to expect with different ammo.
I had a good rest to shoot off of to really be able to see the accuracy of both guns and, of course, all the match ammo had the best groups at 15 yards. The top group is 36 grain Federal hp, left is Fiocchi Super Match, Bottom group is Federal Gold Medal Match. All the holes in the middle was a mag dump of CCI Standard Velocity.
