Anyone know approximately what the mark up is (wholesale vs MSRP) on new Sig Sauer’s? Would like to know how much I can negotiate with a trade in, looking at the P239.

If you dont want to be that specific, just if it is huge, moderate or Sig hammers the dealers and the poor guys only are making pennies on new guns. Was in retail for years and I know some items we made dollars on and other we lost money on but helped volume!

Most trade ins are about 60/70% of retail. I have seen several 239's from $450 to $650

 

[Rule3]

The "markup" is what your dealer is wanting to make on the gun. The dealer buys from a distributor not from Sig. So he has to mark it up over what it costs him from them.

Sigs like HK are just plain expensive. If you want a general idea of what they sell for go to Buds online. You will not find one much less than their prices so use it to compare to your dealer.

Plus you want to do a trade so it's like buying a car. " We will sell you the new one below cost" But give you nothing on your trade. It's all convoluted math.
