I've been eyeballing this little gem on the local ArmsList page for the past 3+ weeks and decided to run over to the pawn shop that had it after work today to take a look-see. I've never really been a Sig guy (no particular reason), but I might be now. It's unfired but no box---$375 OTD. First Generation P250 in 9mm. From my minimal research, it looks like these were discontinued around 2018. This might be my new bedside gun.

I have owned P250 compacts in .40 and 9mm, a full size in .45, and still have two subcompacts in .40 and 9mm. I like this model a lot. The only drawback to these is the proprietary rear sight.

That said, the original release guns had a few issues. The redesign used a different grip module and magazine base. I am unsure if the original style bases are still available. Grip modules are relatively cheap, as are mag bases.

Give me a minute

The slide release levers, and thus the frames in the corresponding areas, were redesigned. Notice the differences in the photos.

You appear to have a compact. You can fit your slide assembly and FCU into a subcompact frame and use sc mags if you wish.

The grip modules can be purchased in different widths to.

A friend of mine just bought the same gun NOS still in the box. A local gun store put it out in the Sig counter with other new guns. I guess a customer put it in layaway several years ago and never paid in full for it. So the store owner found it while clearing out the back room and put it out at the counter.

Thanks for the info, CB. I'm already looking forward to wringing this out at the range.

congratulations... Sig at one time offered an upgrade kit for the slide release.. the old versions had a large end that does not fit in the new "box" on the grip frame... as a perk.. once upgraded, it works in both old & new grip frames.. and P320 grips & magazines work... so you can Xgrip it if wanted.. I have multiple setups for mine.. 45 40 357 & 9... big, lil & tiny...
think of it as a square revolver... long smooth trigger
