I have not been here in a while but did not forget this great place.
My question is does anyone make a low Weaver type base to mount a reflex sight on a 57 using the rear sight holes without drilling new ones?
Thanks

If you mean for a gun with the old style sight (square end) the answer is no. The only ones I ever knew of were the Bushnell Phantom, and the mounting was so weak that the screws would break under recoil from anything heavier than .38 Special.

If you mean the later guns with the new style sight (round end) that are factory drilled with 3 6x48 holes under the sight then yes. Go to Brownells, you will find several.

BTW, all bases are the same height, it is the rings that are different heights.

It is a 1976 n frame 41 magnum so it must be the old style. I thought I might be out of luck on this issue but thanks for the info anyway.
