How do the front and rear sights compare or differ from the K-N frame guns? Not in terms of the RR, WO or all black styles, but in terms of frame sizes? Will a K fit an N? I'm looking in particular towards a local 624 that has the incorrect sights and was wondering what might fit as a replacement. Was also wondering just in general. Thanks in advance!

I would suggest calling S&W like I did. The rear sight is too low on my 500 and wanted to know if the one's listed for the N frame revplvers would work and the answer was yes. The guy was very nice and helpful so give them a call!!

K/L/N-fames all use the same basic rear sight. Rear blades differ based on barrel length and style (mostly). One thing to watch for is begining 1993 S&W introduced a new rear sight assembly. It won't fit the older guns. The new assembly is wider and the screws and screw holes are different. The new assembly is easy to spot due it's rounded tang. To determine if your M624 requires this new style rear sight, look for the rounded relief/profile machined into the top of the frame where the sight would fit. If it's not there, you need the old sight.
