The sights on my sw40ve are stock and not very bright, could just be dirty don't know. Was wondering if anyone knows who has better sights. Don't want hi end just better, it's only a sigma 2nd generation after all. My eyes aren't as good as they used to be either. Happy New Year.

Well finally got some Trijicon HD sights and got a chance to try them out. First few rounds were really low. I don't wear prescription glasses while shooting but it seems like the POI is lower than the POA. Could be me since I can't focus that well at arms length without my glasses. Was also POI was slightly right about 1inch, gripping to tight maybe. Yet at 20-30ft all shots were on the silhouette and groupings weren't to bad. The lighting at the range was not so good either so couldn't quite see the dots. I do like them better than the originals and believe they will work for intended purpose. Also shot at around 60-70ft last couple of mag loads and was still on target. Now to work more on grip.

Is this your first ever firearm?

No. Yet I haven't shot in years, ok decades. Used to shoot a 1911 45acp and 357, 44 mag revolvers. The sights are actually blury and it's hard for me to tell if there level. Funny thing is that when I just point and shoot without thinking all rounds are in the 10. If I take my time and slow down then the grouping isn't quite as tight. I only have around 3hrs range time and don't get to shoot as much as I'd like anymore. This is my first polymer framed gun. Probably just overthinking thinking and need to relax a bit. My friend actually shoots low left with it, I don't know why.
