Hello all i am new to the forum. just bought a new sigma 40 from one of my local gun stores. Been to the range once with it. I was and am very satisfied with my purchase. I need more practice with it, however all the bad news on this gun is strange to me. I had no ftfs or ftes, and the pistol worked flawlessly. I like the robust trigger pull, as i have had a few double action revolvers in my hands over the years from a colt 38 special, colt mod 1878 45 lc, ruger blackhawk 357 and 44 magnums, and a ruger redhawk 45lc. I understand the trigger will smooth out with use anyway. I bought this mainly as a self defense, range, and woods sidearm weapon. Hopefully it will stop a hog down here if i ever have any of em charge me.

Its a great gun. You wont have any FTF or Fte etc... The trigger is heavy but its accurate. Enjoy.....

Love mine. I always pack it in my range bag even if I'm breaking in something else. I have to fire at least two mags down range. Fun, that's what it's all about once your consistency is there.

After many, many rounds, I have only had two jams. Both were minor. One was with an old Russian round that had been rolling around loose in my buddy's range bag for a long time. The other was a reload. It's a great pistol and the trigger does improve.

Glad to hear you are enjoying your purchase, and not expecting a $1300.00 gun for $300. You have a quality piece for the money. Happy shooting, and welcome to the forum.

Congrats on your new gun. :)

I tried to get one after I bought my Sigma 9mm which is terrific but my range's suppliers couldn't get their hands on any since they were back ordered. I waited two weeks and decided to get a Sig P250c 40sw which my range had on sale and available on the spot. This was a terrific shooter as well. I'm glad I got it.
