Hello, I am a new owner of a Sigma 9mm. Owned it for a while & just getting to shot it more. When I first puschased gun I put 100 rounds of "Blazer Brass" ammo through gun, gun performed flawless, not one problem. I have since purchased 100 rounds of Winchester ammo. This past weekend was the first time I used the Winchester rounds. Seemed every other round jammed as spent round was ejected, could not even get 1 clip empty before my frustration set in & I put gun away. Cleaned gun the next day, & same result, still jamming. Any help or avise is greatly appreciated.

Also gun was cleaned before I started the Winchester rounds.

Thanks, Michael.

Seems like it might not like the Winchester, if you still have some more of the Blazer brass I would take that out again and see if the problem still exists. If it does then you will probably want to give S&W a call to see about having the gun serviced.

:) Winchester ammo is top quality ammo. Your gun should
do fine with it. I believe it's the gun. I would call S&W.
I think they will fix it for free. Don

My sigma is the same way. Has no problems with Remington UMC but when I tried WWB it jammed more than it shot. Ended up giving a buddy of mine the rest of the box. My advise, don't buy WWB and you'll be fine.

One of the issues with any firearm is amunition selection.

I learned this in a powerful way when I used to reload, and noted that slight change in powder or bullet weight would change the ballistics significantly.

You will find the ammo that your handgun likes the very best if you shoot a variety of loads.

The joy is in the quest.

How is it jamming? Facing up or down? Stovepipe?

My girlfriend had this problem with her gun when she first recieved it. It was her grip. If your wrist is not firm, the gun won't fully recoil and it will jam every time. Just a tip.

I have a .40 and right out of the box it had no problems with the Winchester 'White Box'. Since then I've fired brass Blazer and Federal with no problems.
If you can do without your pistol for a while I'd send it back to S&W for a checkup. Frank from LSG has an excellent turn-around time and he has posted his Fedex shipping instructions a few days ago on this forum. He can also smooth up the trigger while he's at it.

Thank you to everyone for your input. I did talk to Frank Smith yesterday & sending it to him today. He said it is doing the "stovepipe" thing & he will smooth my trigger some also.

Good move, mine had a few malfs and S&W polished the ramp and opened the throat and it has eaten anything I feed it since, over 1200 rounds.
