Sigma steel plate shooting - YouTube

So today me and my wife hit the range with the arsenal. Brought out the Sigma for me and my wife's first time shooting steel plates. Had a few jams and I think I might know why but I'm not sure. A few of the spent brass hit me in the top of the head with some force that I thought it might have been ricochets. Might have been too hot of a load or I have actual extractor problems. Not sure hopefully the video works. Need to get a side video so I could see if that's the case.

Not sure but just a thought I noticed it was failing to feed on the first couple rounds and then it was smooth, maybe bad mag Springs. Not a expert lol just throwing out my thoughts.

break open the mags and clean them. check the feed ramp. what type of ammo? my sigma eats anything no matter how dirty it is. i feed it reloads all day long and i do not have any problems.

It wasn't a reload issue. It was an extraction issue. Like the extractor would hook up then it would come off the casing. There were marks on the spent casing where the extractor would hook up but looked like it came off.

The ammo idk what it was. Buddy of mine gave me 200+ rds of JHP and FMJ. I was shooting JHP I believe but the second mag looked like it might have been FMJ by the color of the casings. I'll be at the range soon again to try and pin point the ammo that it does it to

I didn't see where you said how old this pistol is. You may need to pull the extractor and give it and the area behind it a real good cleaning.

You can chamber a round and slowly pull back on the slide to see if the extractor is gripping the casing or not,it could be your ejector.
