Sigma Problem

I have a two week old Sigma 9mm. I am shooting Remington UMC 115Gr. fmj ammo. My problem is I get misfeeds about every 4th or 5th shot. I have put 200 round through it. Any suggestions???????

should work fine with ball, IF the ball is in spec...which is a sometime thing with cheap Remington/Blazer/etc....mine doesn't care for the Winwhite 115grJHP, the nose hits the ramp and stops dead...so far the only ammo to date it's choked on

try polishing the ramp....although ive never had a missfeed yet...I polish all the ramps on my guns....

I have cleaned the gun very well. I have not cleaned the magazines. Is this normal on a new firearm cleaning the magazines before firing for the first time? I am a first time pistol owner.

Yes, and it one of the most common causes for your problems.

Disassemble by pushing in the button and push off the baseplate Control the spring!.
Clean all parts ( I use CRC "Dry" silicone) Wipe all parts dry and reassemble.

Never used Rem UMC in my Sigma, but shoot it through my revolvers, and find it to be the worst of all the cheap ammo's. Really dirty too.

I have shot Win USA white box, mostly Federal (favorite) and 50 rounds of some Russian stuff called Tulla no problems at all.

Mine is a 40 , but Wally World sells 9mm Federal ammo for $10 a box, give it a try.

yeah im shooting the win. white box, 115g FMJ, little dirty but no problems shooting them!

No gun is an island...mine shoots the UMC ball fine to date, but chokes on the WinWhite 115JHP....I can see why it chokes on the 115s as if it were an aluminum frame, at the angle this particular HP is hitting, it would be taking bites out of the frame with the HP edge....but the low-end ammo is low-end for a reason, generally lower QC and more variation in brass, crimp, seating depth, etc, so problems are not suprising with any of them....credit the gun with shooting most of the cheap stuff anyhow....
