Sigma Question

Hello.

So...what is the difference between a SW9VE and a SW9VE - Allied Forces?

Just that the slide is coated? Are all the coated SW9VE's "allied forces" editions?

Yep, the only difference is the black slide. And the price tag of course. Everything else is the same.

I just took a brand new one in trade and I like the black coating.

Not a bad deal. I need to go try it out now. I rather like the long trigger. It's a little heavy but it is very smooth.

Yea, I would have rather had the black slide but I couldn't justify paying more just for a different color. Theres a video floating around youtube where a guy powder coats his slide I think . Looked good in the video. I ended up doing a trigger mod to mine and it pulls at about 5 pounds now.Heres a video of me shooting. I hit the cap on that last shot.

The MSRP difference is only 8 bucks, I don't see where some places get off charging significantly more for the AF. Bud's had the regular models on sale for $50 less (I believe they still do, $299), but their regular price is close to that $8 difference. I still paid the extra for the AF.

Well guys I took it out to the range today and I have to say that I am very happy with this pistol.


I fed it three different kinds of ammo including hollow points and it fired them all without a hitch.

Accuracy was about what I expected at about 15 yards. I kept them withing 10 inches aside from the occasional stray, like when a case landed on the back of my neck...


Anyhow even after just 200 rounds I was getting smaller and smaller groups.

I figure I got to run another few...thousand...rounds through it and I will be a crack shot.


I'm off to clean it up.

I just bought a sigma sw9f from my dad which he had bought and put in a box since the 90's, so it is brand new . i was wondering if anyone has any of these firearms and if they are the same as the new sw9ve, or is there any glitches because they were the first generation of polymer pistols made by S&W. Usually first generations of anything has glitches or problems. Took it to the range a couple days ago and i feed 150 rounds of ball ammo with one failure to eject( maybe it was the one box of PMC ammo that the range sold me, cause it shot Remington and Magtech just fine). Also, does anyone know if i can find a 17 round magazine anywhere. i can only find 16 round ones for the sw9ve, and even then they are kind of pricey $45.00. Well, hope to get some replies. THX
