sigma question

i saw a sigma in 9mm today that looked just like the 380 model.can someone tell me about this sigma.does anyone have a pic of one and know the model #?

It was called the SW9M. It was one of the few Smiths ever made that flopped. It was a low grade 9mm known for it's poor sights, difficulty in breaking it down and a slide that could only handle a low number of rounds through it. I am one of the first people to vehemently defend Smiths, but not that one. At the same time I really wish S&W would start over with the same concept and do it right. I would love a Kahr sized S&W 9mm.

I had one of those a few years back. The comment about being hard to tear down is sooooo true. As far as the gun goes, I liked it except for the tear down and the recoil spring was so heavy, you bout needed a truck to pull the slide back. lol! I never put enough rounds thru it to worry about longevity, but IIRC it was ok in the accuracy department.
 
My Dad has that model and really likes it. He doesn't shoot it alot, just a magazine full once in a while to test out the gun and keep familiar with it. I've shot it too, and for the type of pistol, it is fairly accurate.
