I just bought a new SD9VE, test fire date 2/2013, and the followers in the 16-round magazines that came with the gun are white.

I just ordered a 16-round SW9VE magazine from Midway, so I'll be interested to see it when it comes...if it is new stock, and I assume it is, and compare the followers, etc.

I called S&W to see if I could get a SD base plate, and they are sending me one, for free. (Gotta love S&W CS!) If there is a difference in the followers and springs, then I assume I can order those parts; the tube is the main element that is (hopefully) common.

They may have sold out again. Another member here posted that they had some in stock a couple of days ago, so I went in and ordered one. I got a confirmation of my order, and I got an e-mail today saying it had shipped. I haven't gone back in to see if they still had any...but I would imagine they sell very quickly.

I just went back to Midway and looked again. They still have them and limited to 2. I shoulda checked before I posted before.

Does anyone happen to know Midway's shipping charge for just one magazine?

I think it was $4 and change for mine. The total was just over $38 shipped

Guys are the 9 and 40 mags interchangeable as well? That would be cool, and like my G19.

Nope, 40 is a wider bodied mag.

$73.00 for two including shipping. Still have some in stock. I got (1) 9mm and (1) .40 cal today.

Thats crazy I looked last night and they they showed the 9 to be out of stock go figure lol
