I'm glad I kept my Sigma 9mm and I had to be crazy to think I don't want it anymore just because I bought a Sig P250c 40sw. Come to think of it, I was trying to get a mate for the Sigma in 40sw but my range's suppliers didn't have any in stock and backordered already. That's when I decided on the Sig.

I have the all black non-ve SD9. Much better ergo's than Glock. Quality is the same, plus metal sights and front night sight. Trigger leaves a lot to be desired. Also, my SD9 is not as reliable as Glock. Still, for $399, a good deal.

I had a Sigma 40VE & loved it. I carried & shot it for over a year. I gave it to my buddy on a swap for a FS M&P40. He fell in love with the Sigma. The trigger didn't bother him nor did it bother me too much so we left it stock. I miss the gun but now also have a brand new M&P40C & I'm very satisfied with it. I've thought it over & am still undecided if I'd buy a another Sigma or one of the newer versions like the SW or SD. I'm pretty much set on getting an M&P45C as my next handgun, though.

why do you say not as reliable as a glock? mines had 4000-5000 rounds through it and i havent had any issues past the initial 200-300 break in period. i carry mine daily and trust it as much as i would my glock 23.

So far everyone seems to agree (as do I) that the SD9VE (and it's siblings) have better ergomics than the GLOCK line.

Both of my SD9VE's remain 100% reliable with anything you can stuff in their magazines.

Reliability, ergonomics, accurate, good looks, and a price point that won't break mama's cookie jar.

Had a Sigma .40. Ergonomics totally kick the Glock, but I didn't care about the .40 and didn't want to get set up to load for it (since I already have a CZ75 9mm that I load for), so I sold it. If it had been a 9mm, it would still be here. Been thinking about maybe getting an SD9VE, since I really did like that .40 other than the caliber.

Of course, lately, it's been easier to find .40 ammo than 9mm, so who was smart there? :D

Well I have decided to buy the SD40VE and I am going to have some IWB and OWB holsters made by On Your 6 Design and both pistols will fit. Plus I really like how my 9 shoots and feels so I will stick with what I know works.

Sigma F 40 =6, sigma C 40= 4, sigma F 357 = 3 SD40VE= 2. Mags fit all of them, Black Hills Leather did a dual shoulder holster for me, great for driving and "FAST" reload. Be Safe,

I have the sd40ve, my first semi-auto, and love it. Got it a little over a year ago and have over 1000 rounds thru it. Except for a couple minor glitches, learning the gun, I have no problems.

Just shot my newly acquired SD9VE for the first time this afternoon. Fits my hand like a glove and functioned perfectly. This is my first Smith polymer framed pistol and I am very impressed. I was especially pleased it shot my cast bullet loads with excellent accuracy at 50 feet. I cannot imagine a better pistol without spending a lot more dineros.

indeed, i find myself leaving my block at home and carrying my SD40 while working more and more. its also my off duty EDC

Sigma 9mm was my first gun purchase & my introduction into shooting. With the heavier trigger pull it has made me a better shooter because I have to really pay attention to proper mechanics which makes me focus more. By no means am I a marksman, but I can hold my own at the range with it.

I have an SW99OL compact that I use as my CC, but shoot the Sigma better.

I had the last generation of the Sigma in .40SW and the only reason I sold it was someone offered me more cash than I paid for it. I still plan on buying a new SD in .40SW to replace it though.

-If you get one, you'll love it! And if you keep your eyes open, you can find one heck of a deal. Mine was $351.44 including tax, but some shops run them for $299.99+tax. Either way they are great deals fro a great pistol...

L8R,
Matt
