I have a silly little, totally unimportant, question, but it's bugging me...can one of you SD gurus tell me what the VE stands for in the SD9 VE and SD40 VE? I haven't been able to find it anywhere..."Version, Enhanced" maybe? Thanks.

value enhanced. they made some changes from the SD9 to the sd9ve. it made it more budget friendly and brought the price down $50-$75. they didnt use the melonite on the frame and axed the front night sight. this brough retail costs down to $300-$400 depending on where you buy one

Value Edition it is! Thanks.
Not quite.
The V and the E refer to 2 different things.
V = cheaper, or "value".
E = enhanced trigger, which is now the standard in current production Sigma/SD series.
I had one of the original non-enhanced triggers, which were quickly dropped. You don't want one.
