Plus one for Simply Rugged. I ordered their chest rig for my Freedom Arms. Their quality is top, top shelf. I will be ordering more from them soon.

Nice leather work from Simply Rugged & the folks in Prescott.
I have several simply rugged holsters and they are my "go to" holsters for my N frame Smith's and Ruger SA's.

Simply Rugged Is Great!

I love my new Simply Rugged Sourdough holster for my Smith and Wesson Model 66! It is now my favorite holster and I carry it both IWB and OWB. The wait was very reasonable. Mine is floral carved in Oxblood color.

Wow! That's beautiful!
Congratulations, they do great work.
I'll bet you get A LOT of compliments too.

Very nice holster. I'm gonna have to check them out for one for my m27-9.
Was the wait very long? Weeks, months, etc. The price is your business. Did they offer a belt to match it? For a price, of course. If that M27 ever gets back from S&W Service I'd like to make that gun one that I wouldn't mind sinking some cash into...if it works okay. Thanks for sharing. I have heard a ton of good from SR Holsters, so seeing that one I'm gonna check them out. And from what I can see it looks like a good-looking revolver.

Mine was carved up as well & I think it only took a month for them to finish mine.
They're very good people to work with.
Just give them a call.

I've been carrying my EDC S&W's in Simply Rugged holsters for years now. I swear by them. They protect the gun and hold it close and snug against my side. Outstanding quality and craftsmanship.

I just may have to go for a Floral Carved pancake as my next one.

How do you guys find reholstering with the Sourdough? I'm thinking about the non reinforced opening.

Practice obviously, but once you get used to it I don't find it difficult. Repetition is the key. My Sourdough's don't collapse flat, there's still an opening when empty on the belt.

It's a great holster and very snug against the side which I like.

Sip, what do you mean by "punch?"

I appreciate the comments, and understand that we all have different reactions to different holsters. It's always an ongoing search to find holsters that work for us.

I have a Sourdough on the way. Fundamentally, I am a fan of the pancake.

Edited to add: I think Sip simply means a fist to the side. In researching a bit, I have found some folks who are in good shape, narrow waisted, find the Sourdough uncomfortable. Fortunately, I am overweight. Hoping it's comfortable for me...:)

Just a guess here but in looking at his post I'm thinking maybe he meant to say it felt more like a POUCH than a holster...?

(I know my voice dictation on the phone makes absurd substitutions to what i actually said)
