Ideas for a rear sling mount? so many out there, what seems to work best for the polymer 15-22?

If you want to go with a single point sling, something like 404 - Document Not Found on my M&P15X, and Midwest Industries makes one as well.

I'm using a double point sling,

front attachment point is a 404 - Document Not Found with a regular sling.

The items linked aren't exactly what I'm using, but you get the idea. Notice I have my front attachment point pretty far back. I like having that attachment point behind my off hand, the entire sling stays behind that hand. In this configuration, though, the rear point has to be at the end of the stock, otherwise the two attachment points are too close together to work properly.

If I recall correctly, that Troy mount won't fit on the 15-22 without some minor surgery / permanent modification. I could be wrong. The Midwest Industries version fits like a glove, with no need for any permanent changes. It's the MCTAR-30:

I do agree with the above post, that Id try a 2 point setup first...it is much more comfortable for me as well. Do a search for recent threads about slings and mounts...this has been discussed recently here, such as in this thread:

Do you wear your 2pt sling the same way that most 3pt slings are worn? With the sling over your right shoulder (butt stock in front of shoulder) and under your left armpit (barrel pointing down and left across body), and are able to just pull the rifle up and shoulder no problem?

Is the only advantage of the 3pt sling that it has numerous carry options??

I use the Midwest Industries MCTAR-13. The MCTAR-30 is nice also. Both work great and are simple and fast to install.

I prefer the single point slings. It seems to not hang-up on my gear as bad.
