Six Inch model 41 barrel?

If you look up model 41 on Wikipedia, in the article it states "A 6-inch (150mm) barrel was offered for a few months in 1991."

This is the only source that I've ever found concerning a 6" barrel for the model 41. I know that Wikipedia isn't the most accurate source of data for S&W products but can anyone cite any other source for this or provide any information that I can add to my knowledge of model 41 history?

There are many errors in Wikipedia model 41 entry.

No matter how many books we read, experts we talk too, there will always be anomalies, experiments, and custom stuff we run into from time to time. When dealing with a company that is as old as S&W, you just never know for sure!
