Slide/frame play

Sorry that I've been gone - y'know how it is - you blow 1 computer - they all go [3 for me] anyway - question here -

I REALLY like my M&P45, but the side/frame is too sloppy for accurate point 'n shoot. My 1911s were great at that. Bbl/slide is gnat's ass tight, but slide/frame, while OK @ 21', doesn't make it @ 50'.

Question 1 - can I tighten this up?
Question 2 - can/will S&W tighten this up?

I thought we all knew by now that slide to frame fit has very little to do with accuracy. The gun is fine as it comes from the factory.

Answers:

1. You can not.
2. I doubt it.
