Slide won't stay open after last shot

P.S. --- it's a bit hilarious in the new John Wicks 2 movie, where they make a point of zooming the camera in on the Kimber, every time it's slide stays open after just eight rounds. After all, most movie guns seem to have unlimited ammo. The slide, in this case, makes the point!

I think Keanu Reeves wanted to have a much realism as possible (in the context of a movie of course). I've seen some video of him doing live fire training and he looked pretty competent.

And now we are completely off topic. ;)

I agree. I've seen the video also.

I emailed S&W Customer service about getting replacement followers because of this issue and here is their reply:

"Dear Customer,
Only if you are having an issue with your current followers. You can purchase new ones by calling 1-800-33-0852 ext 4125.
Regards, Rachel"

I replied today that I was having problems with them which is why I emailed them. We will see what happens now.
That annoys me. You told them the followers were giving you trouble and they said that? Hmmm, I hope they send you at least one follower.

I received a new reply this afternoon as follows:

"Dear Customer,
2217298 is your order number for the requested parts. Allow 7-10 business days before you see it.
Regards, Rachel."

I like this reply much better. Yeah for S&W.

Considering the first reply I received from S&W about my slide not locking back on the last round being fired and the quick change of position with the second reply it makes me wonder if the problem is really with the slide lock tab not being large enough rather that the rounded corner on the magazine follower. ????
