I have a Blackhawk single point you can find at walmart on my .22 just because its cheap and easy.

I really, really like my Way of the gun 2 point sling on my big gun

i weaved my own out of paracord...it's on my AR now. i need to do another for my 15-22.

i prefer a 2 point sling as i use it as a brace for free shooting. i used a cheap($7) winchester sling from walmart to scavenge the lower adjustable part. not a good pic of the sling, but you can see it on my ar. the 15-22 is the top gun.

try ebay using this as your search criteria. They should run about $18-19 with free shipping.

BLACK NYLON WEB RIFLE SLING, USGI, UNISSUED, M1 Garand, shotgun, Sporting gun.

search your weaver or picatinny rail front sling attachment that way too

Thanks I'll check it out

Are you going to use standard QD swivels or push button ones?
It is easiest and less expensive if you buy a sling with the QD attachments already installed.
There are so many styles that it would take an hour or more just typing most of them.
Good luck on your search for the perfect sling for you.

I have opted for the Magpul MS3 with clamps, (rifle already has QD loops).
Again more options, also have my old issue sling for the SA80 with two snap clips that gives several options for a 2 point rig.

thank you...a few hours of my time was worth it. i did one for my brother in law for christmas in 2013.

dad worked with leather, so growing up, all of our rifles had nice leather slings that he made. i can't say that i have ever owned a rifle sling that was not handmade by me or dad. having scavenged the lower half for this is the closest that i have or will ever get to a production sling.

That really is a cool anecdote. My dad was a builder so not much chance of a sling made of bricks eh. Lol.

You should get some Ingersol clips and start production of custom made slings. :-)

Am sure you would have a steady order list.
It's a very cool and also functional sling. If you ever have a need when out you could use the para cord for a gazillion different life saving things. :D

A preppers delight is that sling.

Again, very well done.

Rob.

I Would like to use the push button quick release method of possible but I have a MOE stock on and I know it doesn't have that connection on it. Is there another option or do I just have to use the built in slot for the strap and give up on the idea for quick release?
