As I type this, at 6:15PM Eastern, 10/19/20, a website called Fedarm has "Fort Smith" brand small pistol primers available for about $170/5000 delivered.

I know nothing about the company, primer brand or anything else. You're completely on your own should you decide to take the plunge. I'm going to hold out.

Discovered this site from a Facebook post and placed my order. The backorder status didn't dissuade me as I have plenty of SPP, but don't know where/when my replacements will come. I have time to wait. Hate that they charge double shipping if you want 2 cases. Wasn't worth it to me, so just ordered the one.

So backorder could be filled Friday, could be filled December 1st.... can't say I've ever heard of Fedarm...

What the heck right? Ill bite ! Also sent them an email as to when these are expected to be filled...

Looks like stroker468 answered my question. For those that have placed an order was your card charged? I wouldn't mind placing an order and have it show up a couple of months later but don't like my card being charged, especially from someone I've never heard of.

Be sure of what you are getting. I read another thread in this forum saying Fort Smith primers are Berdan type which do not have the built in anvils that enable firing in most American cases.
They are Russian primers made for cases with built in anvils.

Buy at your own risk

I ordered from Fedarm prior to the great panic of 2020. Their small pistol primers work great so far in my guns. They are Russian primers manufactured by Murom.
This is the label on one of my boxes.

Price went up sitting in my cart to 449.99

I'm not that desperate lol

Yikes! Looks like they almost tripled their prices in the last few hours. For those that have placed orders, check it out. Looking at their policies page says they can do it to orders that were already placed.

I ordered early. $34 a 1000 delivered. I am guessing that they will pull a " cheaper than dirt " trick and not honor the order. Wondering how long they will keep my $$$

I'm thinkn' the same thing...my order shows "on hold"....but my card was charged. Not really worried. The credit card company is usually good about protecting their customers.

Be careful, they have your credit card info.

If you cancel they might hit you with a $100 "restocking fee"

Call them first.

I almost placed an order yesterday at that $34/1000 price, but something in my head kept telling me that when something seems too good to be true there will be a catch.

I'm really glad I decided against ordering as I'm reasonably certain they won't honor that price on any orders that were placed but not shipped yet. And I sure as hell don't intend to pay the new price.

From their website

Fine print, 'Terms and Conditions'

"All sales are final. If you cancel for any reason and have already been charged, your refund will not include the processing fee"

FedArm | The official webstore of Federal Armament, your place to find ammunition at a great price.

There's also a disclaimer that if they mistakenly listed an incorrect price they can refuse or cancel your order whether of not your order was confirmed and your card has been charged. They say they will refund at the incorrect price. No time limit though.

phishing scam with crappy or non exiting components...
