or something similar, if it could be made

If this technology is reliable and available, it should be offered as an option to those who would appreciate its use. if there's a market for it, it will succeed.

A version for revolvers has been around since about 1976. Mentioned by Masaad Ayoob in his books and articles. I beleive he had at least one of his K frames modified and carried at one time.
