Smith 29 6.5 older classic , last day of show

Should I just shoot this 44 Classic which is a real beauty , or sell make a little and call it a day , I have a Ruger old model 3 screw to play with also in org box .

Shoot it, as it's not a rare gun. And it has the Endurance Package, so you can run SAAMI compliant ammo through it without putting undue wear on it too. I have a 6 1/2" 629-3 Classic shipped in the same time frame as your 29 Classic, along with the 29-6 Classic I posted above and they both make regular trips to the range and are a pure pleasure to shoot. The full lug barrel on them helps take some of the recoil out of the higher powered reloads I shoot. In my opinion, the Ruger isn't in the same "fun to shoot" category as a Smith to me.

Years ago when I lived in Az , I went to a gun show in Sierra Vista and bought a 629-4 , 4" barrel for $775 OTD . It came with original factory grips , was in very nice shape . It's not pinned and recessed but no key lock nor mim parts . I didn't feel it was a great buy at the time but would not sell it for that amount today . Wish I could find a smith to convert it to 45 Colt as I already have 2 other 44's , one 4" and one 6" . Regards, Paul

I did not get a steal but I thought it was a good find for that money . I just do not see them laying around . I did pass up a 29-2 blued with rubber grips ,nice shape for 425 about a year ago I kick myself on that one .
