3" guns seem to be the in thing now. I had a 3" 65. Traded it off for a 586 no dash, 4". Who got the better deal? Doesn't matter. Bought a 6" 686 too. Let us know how you make out! Bob

Right now they go for $550 all day long if the seller knows his stuff. I've seen LNIB examples go quite a bit higher.

Maybe $450 if you're a sharp or lucky buyer and the seller wants to sacrifice it.

I gave $285.00 for my S&W 64-3, holster, partial box of ammo about six years ago. No box, papers, or original stocks. A perfect example with everything it originally came with would bring double that here.

Looks bobbed to me. I would agree with you about the value if it is bobbed.

I paid $250.00 for a police trade-in. Carried a lot, beat up on the outside. Grips dinged up on the outside from hitting car door , but inside the action was hardly used, just grungy, 8 years ago.
I can't believe they go for double that now, should have bought more for investment.
