I'm new here and what can you tell me about the s&w 327jm? I wouldn't mind finding one of these but the info seems alittle scarce. From what I have seen in pics, the outside of the cylinder gets pretty dirty. Can this be easily cleaned? This gun is setup for moon clips, correct? Thanks for what ever info someone can provide.

I purchased one recently. They were a limited run furnished with both wooden and rubber Hogue grips. The cylinder is titanium and is the same dark grey as the barrel shroud. The frame is alloy.

Using plated and jacketed bullets I cannot see any difference in the amount of powder residue etc. on the titanium cylinder vs the stainless Model 627 - easilly cleaned off with Hoppes No.9. With lead bullets I have experienced what appears to be more accumulation on the titanium cylinder but it is easilly removed with Hoppes No.9.

The cylinder is relieved for moonclips and chamfered as with the other performance Center revolvers. It's a very sweet shooter with very fast recovery on target although a bit light for my taste (the arthritis in my wrist acts up). I would prefer a similar model with titanium cylinder and barrel shround and a stainless frame - the added weight and slower recover time would be more acceptable to my arthritic wrist. I have If you are interested in purchasing a lightly used 327JM drop me an e-mail.
