Hey guys,

My good friend is selling his Smith and Wesson 3913 TSW. The gun is in perfect condition, owner put less than 100 shots through it.
I like this gun, but since it is discontinued model I do have some concerns about it. So I need some help from S&W community, especially 3913 TSW owners. I am planning to shoot this gun, so what I should be aware of, what is the situation with spare parts for this gun. Any advices and suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

I've got a 3913TSW, but I rarely shoot it. I bought it in such pristine condition(with box & docs, even the test casing!)that I want to preserve it as much as possible. That said, when I did shoot it, I was impressed with the little pistol.

As to spare parts, they are still generally available barring a major failure such as a frame crack. It's a S&W 3rdGen! Just shoot it, enjoy it, & keep the recoil spring fresh & you should be fine.

It's just as Timn8er said. Also, keep it cleaned and lube the rails to prevent excessive wear and you should be good to go.

I carry my pre rail 3913TSW most of the time and my rail 3913TSW will probably join the rotation now that the cooler weather is here.

What do you need to know... Well, put a little oil on in now and again then shoot the hell out of it. Carry it, take even moderate care of it it and it will always go bang.

Thank you for your response guys!!!
This is a pre-rail gun with a 7 round flush fit magazines. As for the oil, does this gun require some specific oil or any quality oil will work? I am using Shooter's Choice FP10 on my guns, will it work for 3913TSW?

I have the prerail also. It's pristine with numbered box, doc's and fired shell casing. It's so nice I haven't shot it, don't know that I will.

Use a light grease for the rails. I use Lubriplate #105. A tube will last forever. For oil, any quality gun oil is fine.
