I believe this one started out life as a 3" unfluted one. Before I got it a prior owner had the cylinder fluted, a 4" barrel put on it, the front sight changed and a ball/detent lock up installed. It was used for IDPA using 40 S&W.
It is now my daily carry. I do have the 3" barrel around here somewhere if I ever decide to change it back.

Most gun smith I guess could do it for up or even cut one down from 6.5" to 3" without much trouble if they have the tools and skills.I am new to this forum. I have become a 10mm fan. I have read several posts on the 610. I saw a post about someone who rebarreled there 610. I am interested in a 3 inch 610 and
see they are hard to find ie the lew horton. Can anyone give me any information and cost on rebarreling. Does the smith
custom shop do such a thing or just aftermarket gumsmiths.
Thanks for any information.
