Smith and Wesson chasing Taurus....
I have been to two World Fairs, Las Vegas and San Francisco....but now I really HAVE seen everything...

I betting this is a prank. If S&W did come up with a design like this, it would only be a one-off just to test the water, so to speak.
It should be thrown in the water, all photographs of it destroyed, denied it ever existed, and never be spoken of again.
(I took a close up look at a Taurus Judge once...I then put it back on the table and slowly backed away.)

Dan M, I did post that, knowing good and well it was a joke....
The link I posted in this thread was sent to me by a friend who knows I like Smith revolvers....
I don't know if its real or not..but I suspect SHOT will tell

I don't think Taurus has anything to worry about.

Smith will want $1000.00 MSRP for the thing, and it'll sell for $700. It needs to be in the sub $500 range before it starts moving.

It isn't in the neighborhood of what most people want to pay- too expensive, and too late to get in on the cash crop associated with .410 handguns. The market is getting filled.

I think the single action from Heritage is much more interesting, and much, much more affordable.

Well............I love the S&W guns but that is almost the ugliest gun i ever laid eyes on. If I was down to my last gun, I would not buy one like that.

A person would not have to shoot someone with that gun. Just show it to them and they would die laughing.

Would someone intelligent enough to buy Smith & Wesson actually be dumb enough to buy one of these?
