I sent my new to me 5929 to Smith for the decocker recall updates on June 6th. I got it back today update done, and a brand new pair of grips. I am one happy camper.

Shweet......looks great.....my 5903 is one of my favorite shooters. Would love to try a DAO some day......Guess I better put that on the list too. Hope you enjoy it as much as I think you will!!!!

I was also curious about the export information. When I have some free time I will call S&W Customer Service, and see if they can provide any information about where this gun has been. I bought this gun on a whim, it was on Auction Arms, so I set a minimum bid, and forgot about it. A week later it was mine, it cost me $325 shipped. When I got it, showed wear signs, I completely stripped it, ultrasonic cleaned it, sanded on the slide a bit, then took it to work and gave the frame and slide a quick blast in our glass bead blaster, ultrasonic cleaned it again, and put it back together. It came out pretty nice, and was allot of fun. It was at that point, I figured out it had to go back to Smith, for the frame mounted decocker recall, so I sent it off, and they updated it, and installed the new grips.

Smith & Wesson customer service is second to none. ALL other gun manufacturers could learn from them.
