Smith & Wesson 14-4 upgrade.

Hello all. I have a S&W 14-4 with a 6 inch barrel. This revolver
has the standard hammer and trigger installed. I was thinking
of replacing the hammer with the .500 target one. I wanted to
know if it would be a simple switch out, or would there be
some fitting work involved?

Good chance it'll drop in. If not use the da sear from your narrow hammer.
